My piece of the Internet:
To shamelessly steal another's writings is not a good thing, but in this case it fits! And besides I love the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
And this is not even close to what Douglas Adams pens - but hey - its the thought that counts! And thanks for all the fish!

It is in fact an almost unimaginably huge world, which in fact does not exist at all - not in the real sense as you can just 'turn it off'. Its a place consisting of a few wires, fiber optics and RF links that allow various computers to communicate...
Inside this world we have US - we operate those computers (yea routers, switches and the pieces in between ARE computers!). There are lots of US's also. Millions. Perhaps even BILLIONS! From virtually every country and corner of the world and maybe even outer space if the astronauts have Internet! (I cannot say for sure that EVERY country has
Internet, so I will not make that statement). Suffice to say, we are but a small miniscule piece of that big Internet world.
Why is this important? Well, its not, really. The important thing is that you somehow found this minute little corner amidst this vast place. That is actually amazing if you think about it, unless of course I gave you the link. And that my friend is cheating...
On this site you will find a little info about me (very little...), some links to things I have done and from time to time perhaps some insight.
Oh and I DO have a BLOG - The Wanderings Blog, just that I am too lazy to keep it up to date... I will work on that!

A consumate Computer person, been working on and with PCs and Minis since, well, forever...
Avid race fan (NASCAR, Indy, CART, F1...), past-working-musician (keyboards/sax/bass), Ex-US Air Force NCO (and proud of it!), a Conservative that is probably more a Republican than a Democrat - but that is up for grabs at any given moment.
Born and raised on Long Island, New York - I am of Czech descent (Moravian) and I have been lucky enough to have been able to see a fair portion of the world we inhabit.
This includes a lot of Asia, the Pacific, parts of Europe, the Middle East and even lovely Afghanistan (yea - its an amazing country and with even more amazing people!) and most places in between... Colorado is where I call home now, and has been since 1978. I love it here and always come back.
I am a Computer Scientist/Engineer and have been to (and graduated from) College/University.
Currently doing computer stuff on various projects that keep my interest, pay the bills and while I maintain the equipment and services as needed at Front Range Web Services.
As a programmer, I write and maintain various pieces of GPL and commercial software including DNSBL_REDIR that is used with the Squid Proxy server, and there is a Webmin XINETD Module update/patch. Both can be found on the sidebar.
My current project is developing and writing SCTP based software for various applications - quite fun!
And there are a bunch of other pieces I will not post yet... being primarily a UNIX person, I have also worked with Novell, OS/2 and Windows extensively.
Yea right!
